It should have been a public holiday here because we treated it as one. We celebrated way into the night watching the footage over and over. The whole thing still gives me goose bumps. As Obama said in his speech, it was only about 60 years ago that a black man could not be served in some restaurants in this country, and now there he is, taking the oath to the highest office in the land.
